House Of Fraser Beauty Advent Calendar 2017!

Its that time of year again, and all the Christmas Beauty Advent calendars are back in the shops. I’ve never had one before and after looking around on the internet I decided to pick up this House Of Fraser 24 day Beauty Advent Calendar. First off the pretty holographic design drew me in. The price was also another big reason why I picked this calendar up, given that I have lots of family to buy for I couldn’t afford breaking the bank on an advent calender.

This is a spoiler so if you have it and don’t want to know what’s in it please don’t read any further, all opinions are my own. This is not sponsored in anyway.

Day 1- Mascara

An everyday product that is something for everyone’s make up bag, its a black mascara (obviously) and gives a more natural looking lash.

Day 2- Funnel

This is one of the accessories in there and I wont lie to you, I don’t really know what it is or what it is used for, but I’m sure ill figure it out and it’ll come in handy! After all it is in a beauty advent calendar.

Day 3- Silver Glitter

You can’t beat glitter, who doesn’t love glitter. You wont if you let your kids get hold of it.

Day 4- Gold Eyeshadow Dust

I really really loved this, I’m always partial to a pretty shimmery eye. The product goes on well and doesn’t take much of it either.

Day 5- Red Nail Polish

A classic for Christmas I think, a really gorgeous vibrant red colour. Definitely something you need for this time of year!

Day 6- Mini Nail File

Something everyone will use at least once, cute little size too.

Day 7- Pink Lipstick

A colour that should be in everyone’s make up collection, not quite a baby pink but not too dark either. I tried it out and it glided on really well, didn’t actually come off much after eating and drinking either. And weirdly I was pleasantly surprised that the lip products to me smell like strawberries.

Day 8- Gold Stars

Like the glitter you can stick this on your face and body and look like a gold star this Christmas. On a serious note, I think it’ll look cute.

Day 9- Pink Lipgloss

I don’t wear lipgloss really because I find them sticky and annoying. But I couldn’t even tell this was on my lips, and its a lovely pink.

Day 10- Pink Eyeshadow Dust

Another pretty dust like the gold one, in a rose pink colour.

Day 11- Brown Brow Pencil

Because who doesn’t need a brow pencil, and its not a crap one either. Like some brow pencils you don’t need to press down much or keep going over it. It also comes with a spoolie on the other end, winner!!

Day 12- Pink Eye Crayon

Really beautiful baby pink colour, I haven’t used eye crayons before but I’m looking forward to giving it ago. Tested it on my hand it and went on really smoothly.

Day 13- Silver Nail Polish

Another product everyone loves, and in silver Christmas shade!

Day 14 and 15- Nail Stickers

Sweet designs, not something I’ll personally use. I’ll give them to my daughter as her main present from Santa, Happy Christmas Annabelle.

Day 16- Silver Eye Crayon

Perfect for a Christmas look eye look. And I know its the whole point, but I really love the fact all the colours are festive and Christmassy!

Day 17- Red Lipstick

Just what everyone needs, wear it Christmas Day.

Day 18- Gold Glitter Liquid Eyeliner

This is really sparkly and very gold, it didn’t take much product to go on. It’s something I am really excited to use throughout December.

19. Kabuki Brush

What can I say, you’ll never have enough make up brushes.

Day 20- Rose-y Pink Lipgloss

Another beautiful gloss, like the other it didn’t feel tacky or sticky on the lips at all! And I’m really not lying when I told you the lip products smell of strawberries. Maybe this calendar is really for kids, and my daughter should be reviewing it not me lol. Their nice products so I don’t care.

Day 21- Black Liquid Liner

This for me was probably the best thing in there and I very rarely wear liquid liner, but I will be using this! I tested it on my hand and forgot it was on there, washed up, washed my hands the lot and it didn’t budge! I’ve tried so many in the past that smear and smudge and probably cost £7-£8 alone.

Day 22- A Set Of 3 Eyeshadows

I Looooove eyeshadows and I’m looking forward to creating some looks with this, see in the picture below how pigmented this is.

Day 23- Blush

The perfect matte rose colour to give you those rosy cheeks.

Day 24- A Full Sized Nail Polish

So by this day you’ll probably be less excited because you’ll be opening a shit ton of presents the next day. But they’ve finished off with a full sized nail polish in a really lovely rose gold colour.

So there we have it, a little review of the House Of Fraser 2017 Beauty Advent calender, I will post the link below if you’d like to check it out or even an idea for next year! As far as I am aware they sell out, but I know their are some still available in local House Of Fraser stores.

Overall I think this calendar is not bad at all, its not a rip off and there’s something in there for everyone. Their not products I will put in my make up draws, forget about and never use!
